Mill Harbor
Yacht Club was established to expand the pleasure of boating on Payette Lake and to promote camaraderie throughout the year. While it is not necessary
to be a tenant of the May Hardware Marina in McCall, Idaho, boating on Payette Lake is highly recommended to fully enjoy the club. MHYC provides a means
of communicating among fellow yachters through social events, regattas, training, and promotion of safety and good sportsmanship. The club is primarily low-key, with each boat owner responsible for his/her own boating
liabilities. Although the club does not have a constitution or bylaws, it does
have club officers. These officers are Commodore, Vice-Commodore, Yeoman/Treasurer,
and the Past Commodore. Each year a new officer is elected to fill the position
of Yeoman, as the other officers advance to the next position.
MHYC was established in June 1986.
Club interests began when increased boat mooring facilities were made available on Payette
Lake. This created a greater opportunity to get to know
fellow boating enthusiasts and led to organizing the MHYC.
The club activities include cruising, racing (as long as it remains
fun), raft-ups, social functions in the summer and off-season, and the Annual Meeting in the fall.
